Ed has over 30 years of income tax experience including Big-Four experience as a Tax Manager for Arthur Andersen in their San Francisco office. He has had tax projects for large companies including Sybase, Oracle, Airtouch, 8x8, and PacSun. He was formerly a Tax Director for a start-up internet advertising global company. His tax experience includes large multi-state corporate tax return compliance, tax provisions, international in-bound and out-bound compliance and consulting, R&D Studies, Sec. 382 Studies, and out-sourced tax director functions. Ed holds a BA from UC Davis and an MBA from Cal State Sacramento. When not working, Ed enjoys snow skiing, hiking, watching sports events, and traveling with his family and friends.

Doug has over 25 years of income tax experience including Big-Four accounting firm experience and management positions in both domestic and international tax compliance for one of the world’s largest wireless telecommunications companies. Doug holds a BA in Business Economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara and a Masters in Taxation from Golden Gate University. Doug has diverse experience working with large corporate tax departments in providing tax consulting, compliance, and tax provision services to companies such as Clorox, Danaher, Sybase, and Vodafone. In his spare time, Doug enjoys bike riding, hiking and spending time with family and friends.

Karl has been with Edward Moura & Company since January 2022, serving as Office Manager and supporting the firm’s corporate income tax practice. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Oregon State University and is currently preparing to sit for the CPA exam. Prior to joining the firm, Karl spent 15 years with Peet’s Cof
Karl has been with Edward Moura & Company since January 2022, serving as Office Manager and supporting the firm’s corporate income tax practice. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Oregon State University and is currently preparing to sit for the CPA exam. Prior to joining the firm, Karl spent 15 years with Peet’s Coffee, including eight years as a Store Manager, where he led teams and managed daily operations and financial performance. At EMCoTax, Karl works closely with senior team members on corporate tax compliance, research, and client support, bringing a strong operational mindset and a client-service oriented approach to his work. Outside of work, Karl enjoys the outdoors, spending time with family and friends, cooking, and traveling .
